Blog 20: My favorite movies
When I was young I always found a movie I liked and I would watch it over and over again. My mom said that sometimes I would watch a movie and right after it was over I would have her re-wined it and watch it again. One of my favorites was Power Rangers! Yes, it was first a TV show, but they also made it into numerous movies. I always pretended that I was the pink ranger, Kimberley, and that Jason, the white/green ranger and I were in love. I even had all of the Power Ranger toys and action figures. I was such a little nurd. Another one of my favorites was The Labrynth. The best line of the movie is when the girl says at the end, “you have no power over me”, and the main guy’s hair is pretty funny now that I think about it. I also loved to watch E.T. and Ewoks. Ewoks was kind of a stem off of Star Wars and E.T.’s “phone home” will live on in my heart forever. Both of these movies were really good Sci-Fi movies. Some of my other favorite movies that I remember watching as a child were Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Ninja Turtles, Jungle Book, Pocahontas, Robin Hood, Wizard of Oz, Homeward Bound, 101 Dalmations, and Peter Pan. I think that old movies remain favorites because they bring back memories of the past. Sometimes you also have good memories of watching them with friends and family. I think that we treasure our old memories more because they were so long ago and they bring back our childhood. Also, old movies from when even before we were born are always interesting because we get to see the classic style of movies when the directors had to rely on the talent of the actors to make the movie great, not all the special effects that we have today. For a movie to get on my favorites list today it has to have good acting, good effects, and end happy. Usually if the movie does those things I will like it.

Blog 19: Word Bank Poem
Felines glide quickly
Beneath flowers endlessly
Canines crawl rambunctiously
Over cars slowly
Magic turtles rotated
Beautiful bangals softly
Expensive Perry tolerated
Blue Fantas luckily
Matthew eats ice cream
Next to smelly clothes
He looks aquamarine
Beneath sugar rings
