Blog 16: Stress relief

To tell you the truth, I stress myself out a lot, but I deal with the stress very well. When I feel that I’m getting stressed and too overloaded with everything that is going on, I have to stop and pace myself. I make a list of everything I need to get done and put the most important or the things that need to be done that day at the top. Taking breaks is good and going for a walk or jog in-between each assignment or errand I get done helps to clear my mind. My problem is that I can’t feel at rest until I have gotten everything done that needs to be done. I do not like having things looming over my head. My advice is do not put things off till the last minute because that will make you stress even more and most likely not do a good job at whatever it is because you are in a rush to get it done. When everything is just overwhelming you need to stop and make a to do list for the day or week so that you can see everything in front of you and see how much fun time you can have. After you get a few things done, give yourself a break and listen to some music, take a walk, go for a swim, read a book, go get some ice cream or something that will get your mind off of your to do list. Then jump right back into your list until all your jobs are done. By doing this you won’t forget what you have to do and you won’t be pressed for time. Another great way that I like to relieve stress is to go to the beach, but that does not happen very often.
